Cuddle the World is a non-profit organization that distributes and supplies hope and imagination to underprivileged children in orphanages worldwide.  We are focusing our efforts in going to some of the poorest countries with Lucent Dossier performers and professional Guidance Counselors.  Our objective is to impart skills to the children so they can creatively get themselves out of difficult situations or to create new pathways for themselves. Counsellors will spend time with staff and aid workers to teach them alternative forms of discipline that steer them away from using corporal punishment.  The Lucent Performers will work with the children to teach them the art of play and learn tools for creative thinking, inspiring their imaginations.  Sometimes one moment in a child’s life can change everything.  Our goal is to help them build dreams, and self determination so they do not feel forgotten or worthless, and can carve out a bright future for themselves.

SHRINE ON and LUCENT DOSSIER PERFORMERS will be in Haiti working with local communities to create an installation and performance art during the Karnaval 2014! Performers will work with local orphanages and schools such as the Rajapre school in Cite du Soleil – to make costumes, teach cirque skills, create performance and install and create a community sculpture made from trash found in the waterways to the ocean.  We will install the final sculpture at the Rajapre school and build at Haiti Communitere.

Our partners are Do Art Foundation, Project HOPE, Haiti Communitere, and Burners without Borders.  Media sponsor is CARTWHEEL art.
